GOING ON MATERNITY LEAVE

Hey everyone,

As of today I will NO LONGER BE ACCEPTING ORDERS due to my upcoming maternity. Having a full-time "real" job AND Unink is starting to become overwhelming with only 3 more weeks until baby #2 is here! If you already have an order placed with me don't worry- it won't change and will still go out as planned. Thanks to everyone for your support and understanding!

I will be back taking orders some time in July but I will let you know as soon as I'm back up and running.

WATERCOLORS!!

I have been working on some really fun watercolors lately! Below are two snippets of some images I recently painted.

A bride commissioned me to paint the boat watercolor. She will use the artwork on some of her wedding pieces- save the date, program, etc. Due to baby #2 coming soon and my availability I wasn't able to do the pieces themselves for her but I was thrilled she asked me to paint the watercolor!

The popsicles and jawbreaker artwork are available for use on custom-designed stationery or invitations.

NEW AT UNINK

Notice my new header?! That's not all that's new...
I have taken this month to think of new ways to grow Unink and to offer more to my customers. Here is what I have come up with:

1. PRE-DESIGNED PIECES: Includes any piece you see on my site (excluding previously designed watercolor invitations) PLUS new designs (coming SOON) can be personalized just for you! These ready-to-personalize pieces are meant to be quick and easy at a wallet-friendly price. Feel free to change fonts, colors and, of course, the information. There is NO* design fee and these pieces will have a turn-around time of about 1-2 weeks from the time you place your order to the time you receive your order. (*If you do decide you would like to make any significant or layout changes to the piece a $10 design fee will be charged to you order.)

2. CUSTOM¨ PIECES: I still offer the option of custom invitations, announcements and stationery. These pieces can be completely customized from the artwork (excluding watercolor) to the wording for a $25 custom design fee and have a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks. 1-2 design options will be provided for you to choose between.

3. CUSTOM¨ WATERCOLOR PIECES: Even though I offer pre-designed watercolor pieces (with NO design fee), I will be more than happy create a custom watercolor piece that's unique to your style and event. These pieces come with a $40 custom design fee and have a turn-around time of 2-3 weeks. 1-2 design options will be provided for you to choose between.

Add $10 to any custom order for a 2nd designed piece. (ie. matching thank you note for birthday invitation)

4. TAGS: Tags are still available and do NOT come with a design fee. 1-2 design options will be provided for you to choose between.They now come in sets of 24 with "tag" cut corners. Gold or silver grommet option is available upon request for an additional charge.


All invitations, stationery and announcements come with base pricing. My 2011 price list is available upon request, but I will post it soon! I know that is more convenient. WITH A NEW YEAR COMES A NEW UNINK

With 2011 just around the corner, I've decided that now is the time to do some "restructuring" within Unink Design. I'm so thankful for all of the business I've received in the past year - 2010 has been the most profitable year Unink has had. However, juggling my full-time jobs, Unink, and raising a sweet little girl from home has become, at times, overwhelming! With baby #2 on the way (due in April), I won't be able to print and cut everything by hand from home anymore. I am in the process of talking with printers to find the right fit that will allow me to outsource my printing, without sacrificing the quality of work that my customers are accustomed to. In addition, I'm looking into introducing a new product line of ready-to-buy stationery and invitations that can be customized with color and wording. I will still gladly create custom designs and watercolors for my customers at new price points.

With all of that said, I will NOT be accepting orders the month of January. I am taking this time to work on my new products and designs. 2011 is going to be an exciting year, and I can't wait to show you what I've come up with. Thank you again for a wonderful year!!

Thank you to everyone who supported Unink Design this year! A portion of my Christmas sales this year went towards the Salvation Army, Operation Christmas Child and Bread Basket Ministries.

Here is one Angel Tree Child you all helped provide for, 12 month old Sasha. She wanted a riding and music toy- she got that and more! I hope she has a wonderful Christmas!



And 18 month old Coyle. He wanted bath toys, a riding toy and clothes. I wish I could see their faces Christmas morning!

OWL BIRTHDAY INVITES!

Custom owl invites seem to be one of my most popular items! I like to do a different owl for every customer so that each invite will be unique. To have a custom watercolor invite you pay a one-time fee starting at $12.50+ for me to paint the owl, plus the cost of the invites (prices are on the left side of my blog). I do have to say – it is starting to get hard coming up with so many different owl designs! :)

I am working on pre-painting some owls that you will be able to use on an invite without paying a "custom" fee for the artwork. These owls will be able to be reused by anyone on any invite, but I will make sure that every invite still looks unique to you.

A BOUNCE-THEMED BIRTHDAY PARTY

These are custom watercolor invitations and thank you notes for a bounce-themed birthday party. I love how they turned out!

The invite is 5 x 7" with matching thank you note, 4.25 x 5.5", both w/ rounded corners.
